A mentor is a caring adult who offers encouragement, guidance, and a positive example to help students grow and thrive. Mentors listen well, build trust, and support young people in developing their strengths.

How to Become a FCS Mentor: Becoming a mentor requires completing the FCS Mentor Application, attending a two-hour training session, and completing a background check. Training dates/times are listed within the FCS Mentor Application and a background check form will be provided at training.

Forsyth County Schools Mentoring Program follows the FCS school calendar and all mentors are asked to meet with their mentee for at least 30 minutes per week for the duration of the school year. If you have any questions, please email fcsmentoring@forsyth.k12.ga.us.

Our Chattahoochee Spirit Rock brings joy to families as they enter our school each day! We would love a volunteer interested in painting the rock with a winter theme as we head into Winter Break!

Help provide students in grades K-5 a community-based, hands-on learning experience by sponsoring a field trip. These include industry tours, feeder school pathway visits, or nearby historical sites. Please respond to this need if you are able to assist! We appreciate you and your willingness to share your knowledge with us! 

We love treating our staff to surprise treats! A little snack goes a long way and is so appreciated by our staff. We would love individually wrapped snack package donations such as crackers, granola bars, nuts, cookies, and candy to share with our staff as a special thank you treat! Donations can be brought to the front office at Chattahoochee Elementary School!  Thank you so much! 

When a business hosts a spirit night for Chattahoochee Elementary School, it partners with the school to create a special event where families, staff, and supporters are encouraged to visit the business on a designated date and time. In return, the business donates a portion of the evening’s sales—usually a percentage—back to Chattahoochee Elementary. This is a fun and easy way for the school community to come together, support a local business, and raise funds for school programs, activities, or classroom needs. Everyone wins: the school benefits financially, the business gains customers, and families enjoy a night out while supporting their school. We are grateful for the businesses in our community who open their doors and hearts to our students and families. We are excited about our partnership, and we look forward to sharing time together! Thank you!

Chattahoochee Elementary School would love candy donations for our One East Fall Festival that will be held at East Forsyth High School on October 23rd! Individually wrapped candy would be greatly appreciated and can be dropped off in the front office and Chattahoochee Elementary School.
