How to Become a FCS Mentor: Becoming a mentor requires completing the FCS Mentor Application, attending a two-hour training session, and completing a background check. Training dates/times are listed within the FCS Mentor Application and a background check form will be provided at training. Forsyth County Schools Mentoring Program follows the FCS school calendar and all mentors are asked to meet with their mentee for at least 30 minutes per week for the duration of the school year.
