The Coal Mountain Elementary counseling department is in need of headphones, snacks (i.e. goldfish, granola bars, fruit snacks, cheez its), and composition notebooks. Please see the counseling website for additional information.

If interested in donating these items, you can drop them off at the front office during school hours or if your child attends Coal Mountain, items can be sent in with a note to send to the counseling department.

You will need to check in at our front office to receive a Visitor's Pass.  Then you will drive to Top Golf in Buford located at 2935 Buford Dr, Buford, GA 30519.  We are excited you will be joining us for a day of fun and learning.  Thank you for volunteering.

We are joining forces within our community to start a food pantry at West Forsyth! We are interested in partnering with businesses around the West Community to ensure no student goes hungry. Please reach out if you can provide any of the following items on a regular basis or would like to make a donation so that we can purchase listed items. 

Each year in Forsyth County, several thousand high school juniors and seniors participate in community-led mock interviews through their third-year career pathway course or through their participation in Internship Forsyth. Role: Judges play a pivotal part in the competition, providing a great opportunity to speak with students and see their work.

Eligibility: FCS Employees, partners, and community members are eligible to serve. No specific technology experience is required. Judges will have the opportunity to choose a judging category.

Team Structure: Judges will work in teams of two or three colleagues for a collaborative environment.

Time Commitment: Arrival: 7:30 AM Finish: Most judges will finish by 2:00 PM

Perks: Judges will receive a continental breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt.

Important Guidelines Conflict of Interest: Judges may not judge students who are family members or any students with whom a pre-existing relationship exists.

This session is for students and parents of current 11th grade (Juniors). 

The AAI Counseling Department will be hosting small group parent meetings for current juniors. Each session will provide parents with information on preparing for senior year and making post-high school plans. We will also discuss what our 11th graders (juniors) should be focusing on this year and how to move forward with the planning process.

This is a small group meeting for both students and parents. These are not 1:1 meetings.

During the sessions, students receive immediate verbal and written feedback on their interview performance, resumes, and professional dress.

Thanks to the generous support of the Forsyth County Chamber, the Rotary Clubs of Forsyth County, and numerous business, industry, and community volunteers, all eight high schools in the county are able to participate in this meaningful experience.

We are currently seeking volunteers from the business community to serve as interviewers. No prior interviewing experience is necessary, as comprehensive support and scripts will be provided. This opportunity is for: Little Mill Middle School. Volunteers will purchase and assemble gift baskets that will be raffled off at a family engagement event. All baskets can be dropped off for Whitney Strickland in the front office at Little Mill Middle School. Suggestions of items to put in the baskets: Classic board games (Uno, Connect 4, Trouble, etc.), puzzles, candy or snack packs, boxed candy, cozy blanket, gift cards, conversation starter cards (or DIY list), school supplies (pens, notebooks, markers), card games, planner or calendar, encouraging notes or motivational stickers, adult coloring books, wireless speakers, headphones, water bottles, fidgets, and craft kits.

Each year, our school celebrates our Day of Fun — a special event filled with exciting activities, delicious snacks, and prizes for our amazing students! A mock interview provides students with a professional one-on-one opportunity to practice their interviewing and resume writing skills with a member of the business community. The experience also allows students immediate verbal and written feedback from the business community regarding their interview performance, resume, and professional dress.
