Come tell our students what you do for a living and how you ended up doing it. You don't need a presentation, a slide deck, or public speaking experience. Middle schoolers ask better questions than most adults expect.
What we'll handle: scheduling around your calendar, the room, the technology, and preparing students with questions in advance so nobody stares at you in silence.
What you bring: your experience. If your work lends itself to a hands-on demonstration or something students can touch, even better — but it isn't required. During your visit, students will: Hear what your day-to-day work actually looks like; learn how you got from their age to your job, including the detours; ask questions and connect what they're studying to work happening a few miles from this building.
Why it's worth your time: our students are two years from choosing high school career pathways at South Forsyth High. Many will pick a direction based on the first professional they ever met in that field.
We're especially glad to hear from healthcare, skilled trades, technology, construction, finance, hospitality, public safety, veterinary medicine, and the arts — but every field is welcome.
